Trans Slovenia Gravel Bike Tour
Enjoy the side roads of diverse Slovenian countryside
COMING SOONOverview
Slovenia offers and incredibly diverse landscape and perfect network of side roads for cycling. Interchaning between paved roads and smooth gravel roads, this tour is specifically designed for our gravel bikes, perfect machines for tackling long distances in comfort. You will start your journey in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, from where you will make your way north towards the Karawanke mountains. Soon you will be passing Bled, a Slovenian alpine gem and making your way deeper into the heart of the Julian Alps to Bohinj. From Bohinj you can opt for a climb of Sorica pass, or take the train to the other side, where it already smells Mediterranean. The beautiful Soča river leads your way now, as you quickly make it to the Goriška Brda, our most famous wine region, and via the unique geography of the Karst plateau, you will finish your week of cycling on the Slovenian coast. This bike tour is not too tough, but takes a cyclist to enjoy the 7 consecutive days on the saddle and fight through some of the climbs on the tour. It can be done a bit harder or a bit easier, and often you will be able to choose between paved and gravel, and between climbing and taking a detour.
